Where We Got STEAM for STEM

We completed a successful year of 8-week programming with Detroit’s Cooke STEM Academy and partnership with the Wayne State University C-2 STEM Program) Legacy Academy students, while introducing a series of robust pre- and post-testing.  Our outcomes were significant, with an efficacy consistency rate of 127.3% after evaluating teams of forty in the 4th grade, 6th Grade, 8th Grade and 10th Grade student participants across separate cohort groups. Class delivery and preparation was pertinent in transferring learning and understanding into youth participants.  These students used lab time and our STEM and programming to explore scientific aspects of (dentistry/oral hygiene) and human Physiology, while incorporating elements of their math and science.
